Our Low-Light/No-Light courses has become one of the most unique classes we offer. Everything changes when the lights go out. From equipment, tactics, and the use of concealment and cover. Training in the dark tends to get overlooked, but the reality is statistically much higher in low light or no light conditions. .
Starting 3-4 hours before sunset allows us to cover a wide range of weapon handling skills and shooting positions. We then introduce the use of flashlights, weapon lights, the different styles and techniques concerning both rifle and handgun platforms. Working with concealment and cover in low-light /no-light conditions, 360 awareness, and most importantly, threat identification. This class is a dual weapon platform, unless noted, this class is usually run with handguns and rifles
Things change drastically once the light goes out and you need to prepare yourself, both in equipment and mental mindset. Full color targets, flares, flashlights, strobes, full dark, LEDs, and chem-light are used to help create a safe, but intense environment. We want to give the experience to the individual of what it's like to function in a low-light/no-light setting. The goal of Granite Firearms Training is to give the attendee the full experience. And maybe a few surprises.
